Saturday Snapshot... Coffee and a Book...

I'm currently in the second week of the Wolf Hall Readalong that I'm co-hosting with Nicole at Linus's Blanket. This is how I spent one quiet afternoon this week, reading this exceptional novel, happily sipping a warm cup of an amaretto latté in an Italian bakery and café here in Virginia Beach called Rigolleto's. Pure heaven.

  2. I love the look of that table. I don't drink coffee, but it certainly looks a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Good on you for getting to Wolf Hall too. I have it lurking in the TBR. I'll get to it one day I hope.

  3. Hey! That goes perfectly with your blog title. It looks like a heavenly day plus the coffee and amaretto sounds delish. Was this alcohol or amaretto-flavored syrup? Here's Mine

  8. Love Rigolleto's. It's right down the street from my house and I believe it's the cause of the size of my thighs :) I'm glad you've discovered it.
You should also check out Back Bay Gourmet which is on the other end Of Red Mill Commons near the Office Max. Great lunch place - great atmosphere.

  17. Oh that looks heavenly! It's been ages since I've been to a coffee shop and gotten a drink in a real cup (and not a take out disposable paper one). Being able to look at the lovely drink enhances the experience I think. :)

  19. That amaretto latte looks delicious! I might have to road trip to VA Beach for one! lol

It sounds like a wonderful way to read Wolf Hall, a terrific novel.

A Man for All Seasons is a fantastic movie about this time period with the same people but it's all about Sir Thomas More's refusal to endorse King Henry VIII's wish to divorce Catherine of Aragon and marry Anne Boleyn.
    Enjoy!
